About Krista
Hi there, I'm Krista!
So excited to meet you!
I’m a 200-hour certified Yoga Instructor, ACE-certified Personal Trainer, and AFAA-certified Group Fitness Instructor, currently based in Takoma Park, Maryland (though I’ll always be a Northern California girl at heart!).
My journey into movement began in 2006, shortly after the birth of my second son, when I taught my first group fitness class--and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’m a lifelong learner, always looking to deepen my knowledge through new trainings and certifications.
I completed my yoga teacher training in 2013 through Sky House Yoga, a beautiful donation-based wellness collective in Silver Spring, Maryland. Their Vinyasa-based Hatha yoga program emphasized a rich, multi-disciplinary approach to the practice, which continues to influence my teaching today. In 2015, I dove deeper into the world of yoga with a 30-hour Yin Yoga immersion, and instantly fell in love with the quiet power of Yin to bring balance and restoration to both body and mind.
In 2020, I earned my Personal Training Certification--an experience that’s deeply informed the way I teach both yoga and fitness, allowing me to help clients build strength, resilience, and body awareness in safe and sustainable ways.
Movement has transformed my life, and I believe deeply in its power to uplift, heal, and empower. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing that with others.

I founded my online studio in March 2020, and to be honest, I was genuinely surprised by how much I love teaching online. I never planned to take my classes virtual--and definitely didn’t expect to fall in love with it--but it turns out, this way of teaching is deeply rewarding.
When I teach online, it feels just like a regular class. I see my students clearly, I feel their energy, and I absolutely adore connecting with them throughout their day--whether they’re joining from their homes, on the road, or across time zones. This format has allowed me to share my ever-growing passion for movement--through strength training, yoga, and other modalities--in more flexible and accessible ways. And I truly believe that consistent, joyful movement in all its forms helps us live fuller, healthier, more vibrant lives. |
When I’m not sharing my love for yoga, strength, and movement with all of you, you’ll find me out seeking adventure. Whether it’s bike rides, cross-country skiing, backpacking, paddle boarding, canoeing, road trips, or simply wandering through the woods--give me a chance to explore, and I’m all in.
I also have a passion for cooking and baking delicious food, especially when it means sharing it with others (and myself!). This comes in handy when my college-age boys come home who eat like, well...college-age boys.
One of my greatest joys is gathering people around the table and watching genuine connections unfold. When I started leading retreats years ago, I quickly realized I could blend so many things I love into one incredible experience--adventure, connection, movement, and the joy of community. It truly makes me happy to share all of this with you.
