About Krista
Hi there, I'm Krista!
I am so excited to meet you!
I am a 200 hr Yoga Instructor, Personal Trainer through ACE and a group fitness instructor through AFFA. I currently live in Washington DC, but I grew up in Northern California.
I started teaching group fitness classes in 2006, soon after my second son was born, and am frequently looking to expand my knowledge further through additional classes and certifications. I completed my yoga training through Sky House Yoga, a donation-based wellness collective in Silver Spring, Maryland in 2013. The Sky House Teacher training program strove to teach students through a multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary study in Vinyasa-based Hatha yoga. In 2015, through a 30 hour immersion course, I continued my training in the discipline of Yin Yoga, falling in love with Yin's ability to provide necessary balance in life. In addition to many group fitness certifications, I completed my personal training certification in 2020 and I love how that learning informs the way I teach both fitness and yoga. I have a passion for the life and mind-changing potential of movement, and I love sharing that with others.
I founded my online studio in March of 2020 and was honestly so very surprised to find out how much I love teaching online. I never expected to teach online, or, frankly, to love it...but it turns out I find teaching in this modality deeply rewarding...it just feels like a regular class to me when I teach online, I see my students clearly, and I absolutely adore connecting with my students throughout their day in their homes or as they travel. I am excited to share my ever deepening love for movement through strength, yoga and various other modalities with others in many different venues. I believe that regular movement of all types helps us live our best lives.

When I'm not sharing my love for yoga, strength and movement with you all, I love adventuring. Bike rides, cross-country ski trips, backpacking, canoeing, road trips, wandering through the woods...give me adventure and I will go. I also love to cook and bake super yummy food, preferably for others (and myself!)...which is a good thing, because I have two teenage boys who eat like...well...teenage boys.
Gathering folks, sitting around a table together and watching people connect with each other are some of my greatest joys. When I started doing retreats years ago I quickly realized I was able to merge so many things that bring me joy in one amazing package...adventure, connection, gathering, movement...these are the things I love, it makes me so very happy to share them with you.
