Dear Friends,
Sometimes the hardest part of our movement practice is showing up. A couple of weeks ago I told you about my lawn, and the faster growth on the side that has access to greater nutrients. We talked about those areas in our lives that can grow and thrive when we’re willing to put in the work and cultivate deeper connections. So too with our movement practices, right? When we’re willing to put in the work, our movement practices can grow and thrive, we can get stronger in our bodies and in our minds. But in order to put in the work, it takes showing up, right? And sometimes that’s the hardest part. My dear friend, I wonder how it might feel to really look at our movement practices, and to think deeply about ways we can make showing up to them a little easier. Perhaps that’s arranging to show up with a friend, or carving out time on our calendars, setting out clothes so we can be ready to go when it’s time. Perhaps it’s finding something you really like to do, so showing up becomes easier and more sustainable. But can we make showing up easier without judgement, so when showing up just doesn’t happen we can acknowledge that we weren’t able to make it happen without judging ourselves. I hope you have an amazing week full of connection, movement, and non-judgement. Love Krista
